Unusual nature lovers, here is a new type of accommodation offered to you in the Hautes Pyrénées, and more precisely in the pretty region of the Baronnies in the "Devathcot" locality, close to Banios. Here nature is unspoiled, at mid altitude, the villages are wedged in producing fromage frais cheese, honey, jams and liqueuers. Craftsmanship is still present (potery, painting, baskets...) with a rich heritage to be discovered.

For Clo and Hervé, it appeared interesting to integrate in this mid mountain mid countryside surrounding two mongolian yurts made from plaited wood decorated with felt, wool and cloth and to offer this as a 'necessary' distraction, in a calm and natural surrounding. Created to be inhabited in temperatures of -30° no one doubts that this new type of accommodation will seduce nature lovers, without forgetting luxuries of course.

    Successive stages of the construction of the yurts

As proof, everything has been well thought out : adjustable kitchen equipment on wheels allowing displacement of kitchenette, the sleeping quarters comprise of 1 double bed, 2 single beds with wardrobe, a central woodburning stove for heating in the autumn (wood is supplied). Further away, a small yurt is equipped with showers and sanitary equipment for the inhabitants of the 2 yurts.

Guest rooms

On site, in the owners' house, two guestrooms for 2/4 people. On the groundfloor, independant room with bathroom and WC, on the upper floor shared bathroom plus 1 bedroom. Table d'hôte : family cuisine, organic garden vegetables. Possibility of special menus (vegetarian, salt free, ...). Rate : 36 € (breakfast included) for 2 people - Meal : 14 € |
